Marjorie Jean Via

Marjory Jean Via passed away on Saturday, July 29, 2023 in Vermilion, Ohio.

Marjory was born in Tampa Florida on June 6, 1927 to the late James Spencer Allen and Annie Bennett Nelson Allen. Marjory spent her childhood life growing up in Lascassas and Murfreesboro Tn.

She was preceded in death by her husband Robert Ernest Via, her sister Mary Ann Tolbert (Murfreesboro, Tn) and brother William Allen (Memphis, Tn).

Marjory and Robert were married 45 years until his death in 1999. They began their married life in Memphis Tennessee in 1954, Robert worked for the Ford Motor Company in Memphis Tn

and Lorain Ohio and relocated to Vermilion Ohio to raise their 3 children. Marjory was a devoted homemaker and well know community volunteer for both the Town of Vermilion and local schools, as well as an active volunteer of Ford UAW local 425. Marjorie was one of the original founding members of Trinity Lutheran Church of Vermilion, Ohio.

Marjory is survived by her 3 children, William Via (wife Patty) of Vermilion Ohio, Linda Raaf (husband James) of Naperville Illinois and Michael Via (wife Sharon) of Parker Colorado. Grandchildren, Lisa Raaf, William Raaf, Stephanie (Raaf) Carey, Jordan (Via) Oberholtzer, Colin Via, and Brittany (Via) White.

An Open House Celebration of Life for family and friends will be held Saturday August 5th from 1 - 4 pm at 12117 West Lake Road Vermilion... lunch will be provided.

Donations to Vermilion Lions Club or Trinity Lutheran Church on behalf of Marjorie would be appreciated.
