Mark Alan Murphy, 54, of Vermilion, died Monday, May 23, 2016 at his home after a lengthy battle with depression. He was born April 16, 1962 in Lorain, and had been a Vermilion resident for the past 16 years moving from Sheffield Lake. Mark was the VP of Lorain Aluminum Manufacturing Co., Sheffield Village for 20 years. He then continued his education and received his teaching certificate and worked as a Para Professional with Amherst Schools. He had a love for music and going to concerts. He also enjoyed sci-fi movies, computer work, brailing, and spending time with his grandchildren. He will be missed for his corky sense of humor and ability to channel his inner child. He is survived by his wife of 31 years, Pamela (nee Mosley) Murphy; daughters, Meghan Elizabeth Murphy (Shane Pettry) of Vermilion, Christie Anne (Paul) Dolce of Norwalk, and Heather Murphy of Vermilion; sons, Jordan Murphy of Wellington, Christopher Murphy of Lorain, and Joseph Murphy of Lorain; parents, Regis James and Joyce Anne (nee Baum) Murphy, Jr of Lorain; grandmother, Anna Baum of Ligonier, PA; grandchildren, Lucy and Oscar Dolce and Madison Robenolt; sister, Shelly Marie Murphy (Tony) Niehart of Vermilion, brother, Leonard Edward (Pam) Murphy of Chicago, IL; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his paternal grandfather, Regis Murphy Sr. and maternal grandfather, Leonard Baum. Private Services will be held.
