Mark Edward Schudel, 41 of Berlin Heights, died Friday, April 25, 2008 under the care of Stein Hospice in Sandusky, following a long illness. He was born August 23, 1966 in Cleveland and had lived in Vermilion most of his life. He graduated from Vermilion High School where he excelled in sports. He was employed as a design welder and powder coating specialist for over 20 years, working for IPC American Coating Company in Norwalk. He was a collector of lighthouses, and enjoyed camping and boating. He is survived by his mother, Barbara Jean (nee Avery) Schudel of Naples, Florida; brother, Glenn Schudel of Lorain; 2 nieces; many lifelong friends. He was preceded-in-death by his father in 2007, Donald Schudel. Friends may call Saturday, June 14, 2008 from 11 am until the time of a memorial service at 1 p.m. at the Riddle Funeral Home, 5345 South Street, Vermilion. Matt Humphrey, Life Celebrant, will officiate.
