Martha A. Krill, 79 of Vermilion, died Saturday, September 30, 2006 at Admiral's Pointe in Huron following a longtime illness. She was born December 31, 1926 in Paulding, Ohio. She resided in Vermilion from 1957-1987 and again since 2001. She had also made her home in Nettle Lake, Ohio for many years, where she and her late husband owned and operated Shady Shores Campground and Marina in Nettle Lake. She had also worked as a bookkeeper for the Louis Kohn Mensware Store in Vermilion for 20 years. She was an active supporter of high school athletics and the Vermilion Athletic Booster Club. She enjoyed cooking and participating in the various activities of her grandchildren. She is survived by a son, Jack P. Krill, Jr. of Vermilion; 4 grandchildren; 3 great-grandchildren. She was preceded-in-death by her husband, Jack P. Krill, Sr., daughters, Pamela Lynn Bailosky and Jacklyn Sue Krill and a sister, Mary Tope. Friends may call on Monday, October 2, 2006 from 2-4 / 7-9 pm at the Riddle Funeral Home, 5345 South Street, Vermilion, where services will be on Tuesday, October 3, 2006 at 11:00 am. The Reverend Jim Holmer, pastor of St. Mary Catholic Church in Vermilion, will officiate. Interment will follow in Maple Grove Cemetery. Memorial contributions are suggested to the Vermilion Athletic Booster Club, 1230 Beechview Drive, Vermilion, Ohio 44089.
