Martha Faye McLaughlin (nee Boise), 78, of Vermilion, died Monday, July 9, 2012 at her home. Martha was born and grew up in Wellington. She had lived in Grafton and Huron and had lived in Vermilion the past 12 years. Martha worked as a hostess at Lakewood Country Club, Oberlin Inn, Heilman's Restaurant and McGarvies Restaurant.. She also managed the office at OJP Machine Shop in Huron She had been a member of the Seventh Day Adventist Church in Elyria, enjoyed spending time with her family, and crocheting. She baked the best baklava. She is survived by her husband of 14 years, Michael McLaughlin; daughters, Josephine (Robert) Rowe, Lorain, Yvonne (Mike) Gatchell, Vermilion; son, Rick Starr, Sandusky; 4 grandchildren; 2 great grandchildren; sisters, Gloria (Merrill) Studebaker, Wellington, Mary Lou ( Rev. Paul) Mayo, Oberlin; brother, Charles A. (Linda) Boise, Wellington, and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents Myron and Martha Alice (nee Loveland) Boise and a brother, Max L Boise. A memorial service will be held at a later date. The family suggests memorial contributions to the American Diabetes Association Memorial & Honor Program, PO Box 2680, North Canton, Ohio 44720, or the National MS Society of Northwest Ohio, 401 Tomahawk Drive, Maumee, Ohio 43537.
