Martin D. Hall Jr., 58, of Vermilion, passed away Sunday, Jan. 18, 2026 at Lake Pointe Heath Center after a lengthy illness.
He was born August 23, 1967, in Youngstown, Ohio, and returned to Vermilion in 2016.
Martin was a 1985 graduate of Vermilion High School and EHOVE Career Center. Throughout his working life, he held various positions at Ponderosa, Slade, Mercy Hospital, Kingston, and Allen Memorial Hospital.
He was a member of Grace Baptist Church in Lorain. Martin enjoyed attending concerts and sporting events, listening to music-especially rock and roll-and spending time with others. He was known as a happy-go-lucky individual who loved conversation, never met a stranger, and had a special affection for his cats.
He is survived by his brother, Paul Hall of Vermilion; his aunts, Jerry Pursell, and Lynn Ritter, Barbara Barnett and Robin Gaskill; his uncle, Bruce Hall; several cousins; and his dear friends, Linda Appleman and Dave Ashby.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Martin D. Hall Sr. and Joyce A. Hall (nee McAlister).
The family would like to thank the nurses and aides at Lake Pointe Heath Center for the loving care they provided Martin.
