Mary Ann Corcino (nee Thompson), 66, of Vermilion, died Friday, July 6, 2007 at Community Health Partners West, Lorain after a 14 year illness. She was born October 29, 1940 in Vermilion and has been a life long resident. She had been a school lunch monitor at South Street Elementary School for 10 years and had worked at Schwensen's Bakery for 10 years. She was a member of the United Church of Christ Congregational, Vermilion and enjoyed flower gardening and collecting panda bears and butterflies. Survivors include her husband of 37 years, Joseph Corcino; sons, Major Jack Corcino of Peterson Air Force Base in Colorado Springs, CO and James Corcino of Elyria; and a brother, Thomas Thompson of Columbus. Preceding her in death were her parents, Hazen and Vera (nee Nichols) Thompson; a sister, Alice Thompson, and 2 brothers, Chuck and Bill Thompson. Friends may call Monday, July 9, 2007 from 2-4 and 7-9 pm at the Riddle Funeral Home, 5345 South Street, Vermilion, Ohio. Services will be held at the Riddle Funeral Home, Tuesday, July 10, 2007 at 11 a.m. Reverend Wendell Brooker, pastor, will officiate. Interment will follow in Maple Grove Cemetery, Vermilion.
