Mary A. Crocker (nee Cooper), 86, of Vermilion, died Wednesday, October 2, 2013 at Mercy Regional Medical Center after a short illness. Mary was born January 7, 1927 in Morven, GA. She had been a Vermilion resident since 2002. She graduated from Morven High School and was a member of Morrison Baptist Church, Georgia. She enjoyed reading, gardening, flowers and cross word puzzles. She communicated with her friends and family by emailing on her computer. Mary worked as a machine operator for Majestic Molding and Parker Hannifin, both in Elyria. She was a licensed beautician and sold Avon Products. She is survived by her daughters, Wanda (Robert ) Lisbon of Vermilion, Juanita (Red) Hall of Vermilion, Darlene Cardinal of Sheffield Lake; son, John Michael (Robin) Crocker of Elyria; 10 grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren, 6 great great grandchildren; brothers, Dale (Nell) Cooper of Lake Park, GA,and Bernice Cooper of Covington, GA. She was preceded in death by her husband of 57 years, John P. "J.P." Crocker in 2000; grandson, John M Hall in 1994; granddaughter, Elizabeth Paige Hall in 1994; parents, Barney Gilbert and Susie T. (nee Heirs) Cooper and brothers, Lee and Hught Cooper. The family will receive friends on Friday, October 4, 2013 from 4-7 p.m. at the Riddle Funeral Home, 5345 South Street, Vermilion, OH. Funeral services will be Saturday, October 5, 2013 at 10 a.m. at the funeral home. The Reverend Janet Long, pastor of the Washington Avenue Christian Church, will officiate.
