Mary Maxine Fury

"Max" Mary Maxine Fury (nee Maley), 76 of Wakeman, died Thursday, September 4, 2008 at her home after a lengthy illness. She was born May 11, 1932 in Grafton, WV and has been a Vermilion area resident since 1961 moving from Elyria. She had been a sales clerk for Fisher Big Wheel, Vermilion for 20 years, retiring in 1992. Max was a member of the North Lake Missionary Baptist Church. She was also a member of the Vermilion American Legion Aux Post #397 and VFW Aux Post 7576. She enjoyed reading, playing cards, board games, computers games and spending time with family, especially her grandchildren. Survivors include her husband of 57 years, John Fury Sr.; sons, John E. Fury Jr. of Wakeman, and Rick and Wendy Fury of Vermilion; daughters, Joyce Hampton of Lorain, and Rose and Dean Baldwin of Vermilion; 12 grandchildren; 19 great grandchildren; 7 brothers: Kelso "Ronnie" Maley Jr. of Waynesburg Pa, L. Tom Maley of Mt. Morris, PA, John Maley of Amherst, Jerry Maley of Waynesburg, PA, J. Larry Maley of Waynesburg, PA, Joseph Maley of Lone Pine, PA, and Keith Maley of Arizona City, AZ; 2 sisters Vera Madeline "Mattie" Hooke of Canonsburg, PA and Lu Lu Belle Woods of Elyria. Preceding her in death were her parents, Kelso and Orpha (nee McCullough) Maley and a sister, Lucille Funk. Friends may call Monday, Sept. 8, 2008 from 1 until the time of funeral services at 3 pm at the Riddle Funeral Home 5345 South St. Vermilion, OH with Rev.
