Mary Lou Harcula (nee DiPasquale), 73, of Vermilion, died Sunday, October 10, 2010 at Kingston of Vermilion after a 2 month illness. Born February 14, 1937 in Lorain she had been a Vermilion resident for the past 35 years. She was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church and enjoyed cooking and crocheting. She loved being with family, grandchildren and friends. Survivors include her daughter, Kathrine Harcula Shupp of Lorain; son, John Harcula and his fiancé, Sindie Meacham of Vermilion; grandchildren, David, Ronald, Andrew and Lauren; sisters, Margaret DiFrancesco, Lorain, Viola DiFrancesco, Lorain and Virginia Moody, Amherst, and several nieces and nephews. . She was preceded in death by her husband, John Andrew Harcula, May 25, 1996; parents Emil and Adeline Rose (nee Amato) DiPasquale and a sister, Ida Bernie. Friends may call Wednesday, October 13, 2010 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. at the Riddle Funeral Home, 5345 South Street Vermilion Ohio. Prayers will be said at the funeral home Thursday, October 14, 2010 at 10 a.m. followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30 at St. Mary Catholic Church, 731 Exchange Street, Vermilion. Father Ron Brickner will officiate. Burial will follow at Calvary Cemetery, Lorain. The family suggests memorial contributions to St. Mary Catholic Church, 731 Exchange Street, Vermilion 44089.
