Mary R. Haynie

Mary R. Haynie (nee Kestner), 66 of Huron, died Sunday, December 2, 2007 in the Cleveland Clinic after a short illness. She was born March 26, 1941 in Yukon, WV and has been a Vermilion area resident since 1965. She was a member of the First Baptist Church, Vermilion, the American Legion Aux. #397, and had been the secretary for the Women's Democratic Party. She enjoyed playing golf with the Vermilion Women's League at Vermilion Country Club. Survivors include her husband of 51 years, Kenneth Haynie Sr.; son, Kenneth Haynie, Jr. of Nashville , Tenn.; daughters: Elizabeth Mayer of Vermilion, Johanna Dockham of Heath, OH, Sonja Haynie of Clinton, Mississippi, and Christa Haynie of Vermilion, 17 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; and one brother, William C. Kestner of Tupelo, Miss. Preceding her in death were her parents, Ira W. and Betty (nee Hurley) Kestner, and brother, George David Kestner. Private family services will be held at a later date.
