Mary Rose Parreco (nee Bove), 98, of Wyandotte, MI and formerly of Lorain, OH , passed away Tuesday, July 17, 2012 at Aberdeen Nursing Home in Trenton, MI. Mary was born in Lorain on February 11, 1914 and had been a Lorain resident for most of her life. She had resided with her daughter in Wyandotte, MI for the past 14 years. She was a seamstress for The Higbee Company for 20 years, retiring in 1989. Prior to that Mary was employed by Oberlin Avenue Carpet and Draperies. Mary was a member of the Catholic Church of St. Peter, St. Judes Guild, the Keen Agers Club in Lorain and the Copeland Center Seniors Group of Wyandotte Michigan. She was a volunteer for the Salvation Army and the Ohio Extended Care Nursing Home. Mary was awarded the Ohio Volunteer of the year award in 1997 for her service at Ohio Extended Care. Mary is survived by her son Theodore A. (Sally) Parreco of Sullivan, Ohio; her daughter Mary Alyce Cortese of Wyandotte, MI; four grandsons; 9 great-grandchildren; and 3 great-great grandchildren. She married Theodore Parreco July 1, 1939. He preceded her in death on December 8, 1996. Also preceding were her parents Vincent and Alexandra (Yadarosso) Bove, five brothers Herman, Peter, Louis, John, and Charles Bove, and four sisters Minnie Perrier, Rose Lanza, Lilly Yacobozzi and Lucy Jeancola. Visitation will be Friday, July 20th from 4-8 P.M. at the Dombrowski-Riddle Funeral Home & Cremation Center 1939 Oberlin Ave., Lorain. Prayers will be begin at the funeral home Saturday at 9:00 A.M. followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 9:30 A.M. at the Catholic Church of St. Peter 3501 Oberlin Ave. Lorain. The Reverand Fr.
