Mary 'Connie' Paul

Mary "Connie" Paul (nee Heading), 71, of Vermilion, died Thursday, March 8, 2018 at Cleveland Clinic Foundation after a short illness. She was born February 4, 1947 in Hamilton, OH and had been a life long Vermilion area resident. Mary worked as a Nurse for the Ohio Veterans Home for 35 years retiring in 1996. She also worked in home health care. She enjoyed flower gardening, boating, fishing, baking, and especially enjoyed making Christmas cookies. She is survived by her husband of 28 years, David Paul of Vermilion; daughters, Melody Hardwick of Huron and Penny (Ben) Potts of New London; son, James "Scott" Waldron of Vermilion; step son, David Paul, Jr. of Vermilion, FL; step daughters, Lisa Paul of Springfield, OH; grandchildren, Katie, Sarah, Curtis, Holly, Amber, and Autumn; brother, Roy P. "Rocky" Heading of St. Louis, Missouri; and sisters, Cheryl Jo Bourqeuein of IN, Candice Hatch of Jenson Beach, FL, and, Melody (Leo) Giles of Wakeman. She was preceded in death by her parents, Roy and Jean (nee Thompson) Heading; step daughter, Tammy Paul; and grandson, Jason Potts. The family will receive friends on Monday, March 12, 2018 from 4-8 pm at the Riddle Funeral Home, 5345 South Street, Vermilion, Ohio. Funeral services will be Tuesday, March 13, 2018 at 10:00 am at the funeral Home. The Reverend Rich Henry will officiate. Interment will follow at Maple Grove Cemetery, Vermilion.
