Mary Alice Yost

Mary Alice Yost (nee Davies), 60 of Wakeman, died Saturday, May 24, 2008 at home, following a long illness. She was born on January 25, 1948 in Scranton, Pennsylvania and had lived in Wakeman for the past 25 years, living previously in Lorain and Elyria. She graduated from Elyria High School in 1966 and also attended Bowling Green State University. She worked at the Ford Motor Company Truck Plant in Avon Lake in productions and as a maintenance supervisor from 1975-1987. She enjoyed traveling, camping and shopping. She is survived by her husband of nearly 30 years, Charles N. Yost of Wakeman; step-daughter, Chado Kovak of Aiken, South Carolina; step-mother, Edith Davies of Elizabethton, Tennessee; brothers, Gerald Davies, Robert Davies and Arthur Davies, all of Elyria and Layton Davies, Jr. of Vermilion; step-sisters, Lynn Peters of LaGrange, Cheryl Osborne of Birmingham and Marie Orzech of Elyria; step-brother, Rich Watkins of Elyria; numerous aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews. She was preceded-in-death by her parents, Layton and Alice Lee (nee Campbell) Davies. A memorial service will be held on Thursday, May 29, 2008 at 5:00 pm at the Riddle Funeral Home, 5345 South Street, Vermilion. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Lucy Idol Center for the Handicapped, P.O. Box 162, Vermilion, Ohio 44089.
