Mary Louise Zalenski (nee Raccio), 90, of Lorain, died Tuesday, October 26, 2010 in Kingston of Vermilion after a lengthy illness. She was born December 1, 1919 in Lorain, Ohio where she has been a life long resident.. Mary graduated from Lorain High School in the 1938 B class and worked for Western Automatic during WWII. She was a devoted homemaker to her husband and 2 daughters and will be remembered for her cooking and baking during the holidays. She had worked for a short time for the Mascon Toy Company in Lorain and following her husbands death, she worked in the Lorain City School cafeterias and Lorain City Hall. She was a member of St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church in Lorain and enjoyed playing BINGO. Survivors include her daughters, Patricia (Fred) Metz of Vermilion, and Marcia (Paul) McGregor of Lorain; granddaughter, Amanda Metz of New York, NY; and sisters, Helen Petroskey of Lorain and Yolanda Bobrowski of Lorain, . Preceding her in death were her husband, Anthony Zalenski in 1973; parents, Joseph and Louise Raccio; sister, Angeline Petroskey; and brother, Louis Raccio. Friends may call Thursday, October 28, 2010 from 2-4 and 7-9 pm at the Dombrowski-Riddle Funeral Home 1939 Oberlin Ave. Lorain, OH 44052. Prayers will be said at the funeral home on Friday, October, 29, 2010 at 9:30 am followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 am at St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church, 1305 E.
