Maryann O'Leary

Maryann O'Leary, a 56 year resident of Vermilion, Ohio, age 76, died in her home September 23, 2024.

Maryann graduated from Brookside High School in Sheffield Lake, Ohio in 1966. She was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church in Vermilion, and a member of AMVETS in Vermilion. She was founder and member of the Happy Antique Tootsies chapter of The Red Hat Society. She was employed by the Gold Circle store in Elyria for many years and held several management positions including Front Line Manager. She was a Store Manager for Revco Drug Company and until her retirement worked as a Customer Service Representative at Fifth Third Bank in Vermilion, Amherst, and Lorain. She enjoyed traveling, crafts, and cooking. Most of all she enjoyed being with her family and her many friends. She felt she was truly blessed to have God's gifts of her nieces and nephews.

She is survived by her sister, Irene Schmidt of Kissimmee, FL and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her father, Michael O'Leary; mother, Irene (O'Leary) Szeto;  brother, Michael O'Leary; sisters, Delores O'Leary, Loretta Pittock, Evelyn Labus, Virginia (Pyrda) Kieryk,  and Laverne Rankin and step brother, Jerry Szeto.

In lieu of flowers, you may contribute to St. Mary Catholic Parish in Vermilion or to the American Heart Association.

A funeral mass will be held on Friday, October 18, 2024 at 1:30 p.m. at St Mary Catholic Parish, 731 Exchange Street, Vermilion, OH 44089. Inurnment will be held at a later date.
