Matthew R. Machock

Matthew Richard Machock, 34, of Vermilion, died Tuesday, October 25, 2016 at Oak Hills Nursing home after a one year battle with brain cancer. He was born March 12, 1982 in Amherst and had been a Vermilion resident for the past 33 years moving from Elyria. Matthew had worked construction for various companies. He had attended the Church of the Open Door, Vermilion and enjoyed outdoor activity, especially camping and hiking. He is survived by his parents, Richard "Rick" and Diana (nee Phillips) Machock of Vermilion; daughter, Trinity Machock of Vermilion; sister, Melissa (J.J.) Dvorscak of Vermilion; paternal grandfather, Theodore "Ted" (Joan) Machock of CA; maternal grandmother, Priscilla "Pat" Phillips of Vermilion; and several aunts, uncles, and cousins. He was preceded in death by his paternal grandmother, Anne Machock and maternal grandfather, Edward Phillips. The family will receive friends on Saturday, Oct. 29, 2016 from 1:00 pm until the time of the funeral service at 4:00 pm at the Church of the Open Door, 1230 Beechview Dr., Vermilion, OH 44089.
