Melissa Lynn Rhodes Stowers

Melissa Lynn Rhodes Stowers, 32 of Vermilion , died Thursday, October 2, 2003 in University Hospital after an illness with cancer. She was born March 17, 1971 in Lorain, Ohio, and she has been a Vermilion resident all her life. She worked as a receptionist for Stanley Lutz OD and Eric Stocker OD office in Amherst and prior to that as a waitress for Sal & Al's Restaurant in Amherst. She was a member of the Harbourtown Community Church in Vermilion. She enjoyed reading, being involved with her children and coaching little league baseball. She is survived by her two sons, Jace and Josh Stowers of Vermilion; her parents, Robert and Margaret (nee Hunnell) Rhodes of Vermilion; a brother, Shane Rhodes of Louisville, KY, several nieces and nephews and her paternal grandmother, Kay Rhodes of Vermilion, OH. Private graveside services will be held at Maple Grove Cemetery, Vermilion. The Reverend Jim Cooper, pastor of the Harbourtown Community Church, will officiate. Contributions may be made to the Hope Lodge , 11432 Mayfield Road, Cleveland, Ohio 44106. The Riddle Funeral Home, 5345 South Street , Vermilion is entrusted with arrangements.
