Merrianne "Mimi" Bella (nee Miller ), 55, of Vermilion, died Thursday, February 5, 2015 at New Life Hospice Center of St. Joseph after a lengthy illness. She was born December 21, 1959 in Lorain and had been a life long Vermilion resident. Mimi worked as a receptionist for Betcher Industries for 36 years. Mimi had attended the United Church of Christ Congregational and enjoyed fishing, biking, hiking, boating, camping, and reading. She was an excellent cook and especially enjoyed spending time with her dogs, Pinky and Rosie. She is survived by her husband of 35 years, Charles "Chuck" Bella of Vermilion; sisters, Susan (Don) Folino and Debby (Dan) Slyker; brothers, Ty (Vivian) Derrow, Bob (Sharon) Miller, Don (Bev) Miller, T (Mary Jo) Miller, Brad (Sherry) Miller, Rick (Sally) Miller, and Mark (SueLinn) Miller; and many nieces and nephews including her close nieces and nephews: Don (Brittany) Folino, Jill (Kevin Brashear) Folino, and Ryan (Lindsey) Derrow. She was preceded in death by her parents, Gene and Anna Mae (nee Flesher) Miller and a brother, Jerry Miller. The family will receive friends on Tuesday, Feb. 10, 2015 from 3:00 pm until the time of the service at 6:00 pm at the Riddle Funeral Home, 5345 South Street, Vermilion, OH. The Reverend Louis Bertoni will officiate. The family suggests memorial contributions to Best Friends Animal Society, 5001 Angel Canyon Rd., Kanab, UT 84741.
