Michael S. Carver, 40 of Lorain, died Saturday, July 22, 2006 at his home following a lengthy illness. He was born March 8, 1966 in Lorain and has been a lifelong resident. He worked as a bartender and server at the Spring Valley Country Club and the Elyria County Club. He enjoyed traveling, camping and had various collections, especially of eagles. He is survived by his mother and step-father, Judy and Phil Ashby of Coldwater, Michigan; a sister, Deb Burgoon of Coldwater, Michigan; 1 nephew and 2 great-nieces; several aunts and uncles; caregiver, Sal Kovach of Lorain. He was preceded-in-death by his brother, James Carver, a niece, Serena Bernhardt and maternal grandparents, David and Evelyn Henderson. Friends may call Tuesday, July 25, 2006 from 4-8 pm at the Dombrowski-Humphrey-Riddle Funeral Home, 1939 Oberlin Avenue, Lorain, where services will be on Wednesday, July 26, 2006 at 10:00 am. Burial will be in Ridge Hill Memorial Park, Amherst. Memorial contributions may be made to his family.
