Mida L. Cook (nee Musser), 81 of Brownhelm Twp., died Wednesday, February 22, 2006 at her home after a lengthy illness. She was born May 29, 1924 in Rittman, Ohio, and has been a Brownhelm Township resident for over 60 years. She worked as a speech and business teacher for 33 years. She taught at Clearview High School, but had begun her career in Brownhelm and Longfellow School in Lorain. She was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church in Vermilion. She was also a member of the Ohio Education Association. She enjoyed cross stitch, gardening and bowling. She is survived by her 3 sons, Randall Cook of Vermilion, Marshall Cook of Phoenix, Arizona and Gregory Cook of Brownhelm Township; 3 daughters, Constance Martin of Los Angeles, CA, Lisa Greene of Vermilion, and Sonseeahray Schramm of Oberlin; 6 grandchildren; 1 great granddaughter; sister, Marie Lorson of Dover, Ohio; 2 brothers, Emmett Musser of Abilene, TX and Vernon Musser of Shawnee, Kansas. She was preceded in death by her husband, Marshall Cook, 1989; parents, Edward and Viola (nee Wagner) Musser; a son, Jonathan Cook in 1982; and sisters, Pauline Berger and Josephine Heppert. The family will receive friends on Monday, February 27, 2006 from 2-4 & 7-9 pm at the Riddle Funeral Home, 5345 South Street, Vermilion, Ohio. A Christian wake service will be held at 3:30 pm. Prayers will be said on Tuesday, February 28, 2006 at 10:30 am in the funeral home followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11 am at St. Mary Catholic Church, 731 Exchange Street, Vermilion. Father Jim Holmer, pastor, will officiate. Interment will follow in Rugby Cemetery, Brownhelm Township.
