Mildred C. Hentges-Urias

Mildred C. Hentges-Urias, 99, of Vermilion, formerly of Elyria, died Saturday, June 12, 2010 in Mill Manor Nursing Home, Vermilion, after a 6 month illness. She was born February 3, 1911 in Elyria to the late George M. and Louise R. (Foss) Kiser. She lived in the area all her life and was a member of St. Agnes Church, Elyria. She graduated from Elyria High School, Class of 1929. She had enjoyed bowling. For many years she worked as a cashier/bookkeeper for the C. H. Merthe Department Store, Elyria. Mildred married Charles J. Hentges in 1931 and he preceded her in death in 1963. In 1967 she married the late Leon C. Urias. Also deceased is a son, Gerald G. Hentges in 1939, a brother, George M. Kiser in 1983, and a sister, Helen A. Hentges in 2007. Survivors include her nephews, Robert A. (Gail) Hentges of Vermilion, and Donald R. (Beverly) Hentges of Bowling Green and several great nephews and nieces. Friends may call Thursday, June 17, 2010 from 10:30 am until the time of a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 am at St. Mary Catholic Church, 731 Exchange Street, Vermilion, Ohio. Interment will follow in St. Mary's Catholic Cemetery, Elyria. Memorial contributions are suggested to the charity of the donors choice.
