Myrtle Mcglothlin

Myrtle McGlothlin (nee Deel), 85, of Vermilion, died Thursday, June 22, 2017 at Elmcroft of Lorain after a lengthy illness. She was born December 6, 1931 in Grundy, Virginia and had been a Vermilion resident for the past 56 years. Myrtle had worked as a manager for Lawson Milk Co. for 8 years. She had attended Little Edna Baptist Church, Lorain and had bowled on the Vermilion Women's Bowling League in her younger years. She enjoyed quilting, gardening, and flowers. She loved cooking, especially for Sunday dinners with the family. She also enjoyed spending time with her family and had a special place in her heart for her grandchildren. She is survived by her sons, Ronnie E. (Jean) McGlothlin of Vermilion and Tommy C. McGlothlin of Vermilion; grandchildren, Jeffrey (Shireen) McGlothlin of San Marcos, CA, Daniel (Danielle) McGlothlin of Vermilion, and Alison Young (Greg Holzhauer) of Lorain; great grandchildren:Sydney Young, and Danielle, Azura, Bradley, Andrew, Joshua and Ryan McGlothlin; and her brothers, Clyde Deel of Vermilion and Gilbert Deel of FL. She was preceded in death by her husband, Ed McGlothlin in 2015; parents, Charlie H. and Gracie J. (nee Dale) Deel; brothers, Benton, Finis, and Harrison; and sisters, Orphie, Lottie, Gladys, and Lexie. The family will receive friends on Saturday, July 1, 2017 from 12 Noon until the time of the funeral service at 2:00 pm at the Riddle Funeral Home, 5345 South Street, Vermilion, Ohio. The Reverend Larry Newsome will officiate. Interment will follow at Maple Grove Cemetery, Vermilion.
