Nancy A Curry

Nancy A. Curry (nee Spaich), 79, of Vermilion, died Thursday, October 1, 2026, at Mercy New Life Hospice following a lengthy illness.

She was born May 22, 1947, in Lorain, Ohio, and had been a Vermilion resident for the past 13 years, moving there from Lorain.

Nancy graduated from Lorain High School in 1965. She worked as a pharmacy technician for Revco Discount Drug Stores, which later became CVS, for 30 years before retiring in 2009.

She enjoyed watching butterflies and cardinals and attending support meetings at Let’s Get Real.

She is survived by her grandchildren, Quintin, Aiden, and Ava; sisters, Catherine (Terry) Maher of Vermilion and Debbie Fadely of Florida; her best friend, Kristen; and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her son, James Curry; parents, Frank W. Spaich and Beverly June (nee Firestone) Rule; sister, Janice Swidecki; and long time companion, Larry Sloan.

Private inurnment will take place at Maple Grove Cemetery, Vermilion.
