Nancy Jane Foster

Nancy Jane Foster (nee Ingalls), 66, of Birmingham died Sunday, December 23, 2012 after a 7 week illness. Nancy was born in Milford, Connecticut. She had been a Wakeman resident for the past 23 years moving from Hudson. . She saved over 1000 animals including horses, cats and dogs. Using healthy horses she did equine therapy for handicapped children at Blairs Sunset Haven. She is survived by her son, James Foster, Wakeman and Christopher Ward (Lisa) Foster, Hudson; grandchildren, Heidi, Derrick and Robbie Foster; Joshua Nichols, Cullen Keegan, Paige, Emily and Brooklyn Foster; and a sister, Cathy Ingalls of Texas. Her parents, Austin and Edith (nee Brown) Ingalls, preceded her in death. Services are private. The Riddle Funeral Home, 5345 South Street, Vermilion, is entrusted with arrangements.
