Nancy Puckett Hobson, 49, of Vermilion, died Thursday, February 17, 2005 at her home after a lengthy illness. She was born April 30, 1955 in Nashville, TN, and had lived most of her life in Vermilion. She graduated from Lorain County Community College of Nursing. She was a registered nurse and worked most recently for Serateck Biological, Amherst, as a physician substitute. She had also worked at Deaconess Hospital, Cleveland, Metro Health, Cleveland, Oberlin Hospital and in home health services. She enjoyed playing pool and participated in many tournaments. She also enjoyed riding horses and taking care of animals. Survivors include her husband, husband, Ernest Hobson, Jr. of Vermilion; son, Ben Clay Hobson, at home; sister, Jammie Mey of Nashville, TN and several nieces and nephews. Preceding her in death were her parents, James and Mattie (nee Connors) Puckett; a daughter, Nancy Louise Hobson, May 23, 1982; and a sister, Ruth Dvorscak on May 6, 2004. Friends may call Monday, February 21, 2005 from 11 until the time of service at 1 p.m. at the Riddle Funeral Home, 5345 South Street, Vermilion, Ohio.
