Nellie B. Ketchmark Hunnell (nee Himes), 88 of Huron, died Saturday, May 12, 2007, surrounded by her family, at her daughter Lillian Shepherd's home in Amherst following a short illness. She was born April 30, 1919 in New Bethlehem, Pennsylvania and has lived in the Huron area since from 1977, moving from Lorain. She lived in devotion to her family and their care as a homemaker, mother and grandmother. She was a member of the Fellowship Baptist Church in Lorain. She had worked as a cook for Kmart in Lorain for 10 years, retiring in 1981. She had also worked for Trio Products and Jupiter Discount Store, both in Lorain. She is survived by her daughters, Betty Fimmen of Elyria and Lillian Shepherd of Amherst; step-daughters, Judy Bilby of Wakeman, Margaret Rhoads, Sheila Hitshew and Sandy Slater, all of Vermilion; step-son, Eddie Hunnell of Vermilion; 4 grandchildren and several step-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews. She was preceded-in-death by her first husband, Alex Ketchmark in 1969, second husband, James Hunnell in 1999, son, Alex Ketchmark, Jr. in 2006, and parents, Jessie and Elizabeth (nee Jewert) Himes and brother, Thomas Himes. The family will receive friends on Tuesday, May 15, 2007 from 7-9 pm at the Riddle Funeral Home, 5345 South Street, Vermilion. A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, May 16, 2007 at 11:00 am at Meadow Green Memorial Park, Bogart Road, Huron, officiated by the Reverend Guy Morton, pastor emeritus of Lakeview Baptist Church in Vermilion.
