Nelson L. Becker

Nelson L. Becker, 83, of Vermilion, died Friday, December 25, 2020 at Mercy Regional Medical Center. He was born June 27, 1937 in Huron and had been a life long Vermilion resident. Nelson worked for Nelson Stud Welding as a shipping and receiving clerk for 43 years, retiring in 2007. He was a past member of St. Mary Catholic Church, Vermilion and a member of Amvets Post #22, Vermilion. Nelson was an avid reader and loved to listen to music, travel, and feed all the birds and squirrels. He is survived by his son, David (Anita) Becker of Larose, LA; granddaughters, Sarah and Sierra; and his good friend Wanda Acord of Vermilion. He was preceded in death by his parents, Nelson and Geraldine (nee Robinson) Becker and his brother, Barry Becker. A memorial service will be held at a later date with inurnment at Brownhelm Cemetery. The family suggests memorial contributions to AMVETS Post # 22, 1517 North St Rt 60, Vermilion, OH 44089.
