Reverend Nile CM Hill Jr, 71, of Elyria, passed away Sunday, July 3, 2016 at his residence following a brief illness. Nile was born October 6, 1944 in Amherst, OH. He had been a Elyria resident for the past 6 years, after living in Illinois and Lorain, OH. He graduated from Marian L. Steele High School and from Bob Jones University in SC, where he earned a bachelors degree in Theology. He was pastor for the First Baptist Church of Vermilion. He enjoyed golf, fishing, hunting, and spending time with his family. He is survived by wife of 48 years, Phyllis Hill (nee Wicker); children, Nile Hill III, Michelle (Mark) Radanovich, Jennifer (Mike) DeMore, Daniell (Sam) DeAngelo, Jody (Gary) Six, Heather (Sam) Page, and Jeremy Hill; grandchildren, Evangeline, Brittany, Alex, Ian, Zach, Aric, Ryan, Nic, Christopher, JJ, Sammy, Chelsey, Michael, Autumn, and Layton; his brother, Dennis (Pam) Hill; niece, Amanda Skinner, and nephew, Dennis Hill, Jr. He was preceded in death by his parents, Nile CM Sr. and Mildred (nee Beachler) Hill. The family will receive friends on Friday, July 8, 2016 from 1:00 pm until the time of service at 3:00 pm at the First Baptist Church of Vermilion, 6716 West River Road, Vermilion. The Reverend Mark Jones, DOM will officiate. Memorial contributions may be made to Camp Echoing Hills, in care of Echoing Hills Village, Cordelle Brown, 36272 County Road 79, Warsaw, Ohio, 43844.
