Norma "Jean" Cashell (nee McFerren), 77 of Vermilion, died Wednesday, June 17, 2009 at the Freedom Plaza Health Care Center in Peoria, Arizona, following a lengthy illness. She was born August 28, 1931 in Bellville, Ohio and has lived in Vermilion for over 40 years. She has lived in Arizona for the past 2 years. She graduated from Bellville High School and worked at Birmingham Metal Products in Birmingham and as a realtor for Harbour Homes in Vermilion. She enjoyed traveling to Arizona, spending time with all of her grandchildren, crossword puzzles and monthly luncheons with her Bellville High School classmates. She is survived by her daughter, Victoria (Dean) Yacobozzi of Vermilion, sons, Philip (Linda) Cashell of Glendale, AZ and Douglas (Pam) Cashell of Vermilion; 11 grandchildren, 27 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great-granddaughter; brother, Raymond (Doris) McFerren of Mansfield; numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded-in-death by her husband, Lowell Dean Cashell in 2001, parents, Raymond Samuel and Sabra Mae (nee Smith) McFerren, and sisters, Claribel Hoffer and Eileen Thompson. Friends may call on Tuesday, June 23, 2009 from 3-7 pm at the Riddle Funeral Home, 5345 South Street, Vermilion, where a funeral service will be held on Wednesday, June 24, 2009 at 11:00 am. Life Celebrant Matt Humphrey will officiate. Burial will follow in Rugby Cemetery, Brownhelm Township.
