Norman M Talafer

Norman M. Talafer, 71, of Vermilion, passed away unexpectedly Friday, April 11, 2014 at his residence. Norman was born in Lakewood, OH , and had been a Vermilion resident for the past 13 years. He was a veteran of the United States Army, and was a retired bus driver. Norman enjoyed animals, putting puzzles together, and taking long drives. He is survived by his daughters, Sabrina Talafer of Vermilion, and Kim (Don) Calderone of Medina; granddaughter Kaylin Calderone; brothers Louis Tagliaferri, and Mark Talafer both of Florida. He was preceded in death by his wife Virginia (nee Foley) in 1995, and parents Emil Louis and Catherine (nee Petras) Talafer. A graveside service will be held Friday, April 18th at 1:00 p.m. at Elmhurst Park Cemetery in Avon, OH. Riddle Funeral Home, 5345 South St., Vermilion is assisting the family with arrangements.
