Oma ReVae Bochholt (nee Dewey), 101, of Lorain, died Monday, May 16, 2011 at Anchor Lodge Nursing Home after a short illness. Oma was born in Davenport, Nebraska, had lived in Belleville, Illinois, Detroit, Michigan , Jackson, Michigan and has been a Lorain resident for 11 years. She had been a manager in the dress and wedding department at Federal Department Stores in Detroit. She was a member of AARP, enjoyed gardening, reading, crossword puzzles, traveling, dancing, and was involved in an after dinner reading group and leading exercise classes at Anchor Lodge Nursing Home. She is survived by 2 daughters, Janice ( H. Orrin ) Pease, Vermilion and Sharon ( Lee ) Leiberg, West Minster, CA; 7 grandchildren, Michael, Leslie, Dave, Dan, LeAnne, Janice and Carolyn; and 7 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Raymond Bochholt, Dec. 23, 1999; brothers, Vance and Bruce Dewey and sister, Virginia Bratschie. The family will receive friends on Thursday, May 19, from 1 p.m. until the time of a service at 3 p.m. at the Riddle Funeral Home, 5345 South Street, Vermilion. The Reverend Phil Herman will officiate. Entombment will be in the Valhalla Sanctuary of Memories Mausoleum, Belleville, Illinois, on Monday, May 23, 2011 at 1 p.m. Online condolences may be made at www.riddlefuneralhome.com.
