Orville C. Stallard

Orville C. Stallard, 78, of Vermilion, passed away Thursday, August 18, 2011 at the Hospice Service of Southwest General after a lengthy illness. Orville was born August 25, 1932 in Ermine, KY. He moved to the Cleveland area in 1950 and then to Vermilion in 1998. He was a machinist and worked for Yoder Manufacturing for most of his career, but was also known to be a "Jack of all trades", enjoying other tasks such as carpentry and plumbing. He is survived by sons, Jim Stallard of Akron, Jeff (Patricia) Stallard of Berea, Ed (Linda) Stallard of Brunswick; daughter, Bambi (Tim) McCraw of Spencer;.grandchildren, Brandon and Rochelle "Rocky" Stallard, Brian Bush, Jamie Bush, & T.J. McCraw; sisters, Inez Croxdale, Minnie Andrews, Nettie Powell; brothers, John Morris, and Daniel Stallard; step-daughters Cheryl Dombrowski Yates, Peakin, IN., Joyce Dombrowski Normando, Florence Twp., and Vicki Dombrowski Pando of Amherst; 5 step grandchildren, Sean Yates and Bill Yates, Jr., Brent and Lindsay Normando and Katie Pando. and his special friend, Edith Insco. He was preceded in death by his wife, Doris (nee Diamond) in 2006; a brother, James Stallard; a sister, Susie Stallard, and his parents Willie E. and Una (Webb) Stallard. The family will receive friends on Sunday, August, 21, 2011, from 2-4 & 6-8 pm at the Riddle Funeral Home, 5345 South Street, Vermilion. Funeral services will be held Monday, August, 22, 2011 at 11 a.m. at the funeral home. Reverend Freddie Ray will officiate. Interment will follow at Ridge Hill Memorial Park, Amherst..
