Pamela Hartle

Pamela S. Hartle (nee Lucas), 66, of Vermilion, passed away on Wednesday, June 19, 2024, at her home.

Born on June 17, 1958, in Lorain, OH, Pamela was a lifelong resident of Vermilion. She held a variety of jobs throughout her life, most recently serving as a supervisor for Goodwill in Sandusky after her retirement.

She loved her family, her friends, her pets, her books, and a good game of golf. Known for her zest for life, Pamela was very social and seemed to know everyone in town. She was creative and a sensitive poet. Pamela was assertive when needed and had an incredible sense of humor. Her family found her generous and loving.

Pamela is survived by her sisters, Shirley (Richard) a Witteborg of Defiance and Patricia (Michael ) D'Aveta of Lakewood, her nephew Tristan D'Aveta, Leslie Mahaffey, and her niece, Caitlin, and great-niece, Calleigh Bird.  Her companion dogs, Toto and Daisy, will also mourn her.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Arthur and Eula J. (nee Zeller) Lucas; her maternal grandparents, Charles and Suzanne Zeller; and her paternal grandparents, Arthur and Katherine Lucas-Duke.

A private gathering of family and friends will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests that memorial contributions be made to any local humane society.
