Patricia A. Frey (nee Gavron), 77, of Wakeman, passed away peacefully at her home on Friday, March 15, 2024.
Patricia was born on August 6, 1946, in Lorain, Ohio. She made Wakeman her home in 1990, relocating from South Amherst. A distinguished alumna of The Ohio State University, she obtained her Bachelor's degree, marking the beginning of her remarkable professional journey.
Throughout her career, Patricia dedicated herself to the healthcare sector, serving diligently in various capacities. From her tenure at Elyria Hospitals in Hematology to her managerial role at North Central Labs, and her contributions at Metro Health and Fisher Titus, she consistently exemplified professionalism and dedication until her retirement from University Hospitals in Elyria in 2019.
Patricia was a devout member of Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary in South Amherst, where her faith and sense of community thrived. An avid lover of nature, she cherished time spent outdoors, whether basking by the pool, navigating the waters on a boat, or delighting in the company of birds. Patricia also found joy in social gatherings and shopping, but above all, her heart belonged to her family, especially her grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and her beloved dog, Nova
Left to cherish her memory are her daughter, Amy (Chad) Grude; son, Adam Frey; grandchildren, Carly (Michael) Brown, Keely (Alex) Kopocs, Cullen (fiance, Kassady Carrier) Grude, Carter Grude, Kayler Frey, Parker Frey; great-grandchildren, Chloe, Hadley, and Grady Kopocs, and Ella Brown; sister, Kathleen Trifilleti; sister-in-law, Ester Nora Cehelnik along with numerous nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews.
Patricia was preceded in death by her loving husband of 49 years, William Steven Frey; her parents, Frank and Ann (nee Cush) Gavron; her brother-in-law, Robert Trifilleti, and cherished pup, Tess.
Mass of Christian Burial will be Saturday, March 23, 2024 at 9:00 am at Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary, 333 South Lake Street, South Amherst, OH 44001. Family and friends will be received following the mass from 10 am until 1 pm with a meal provided.
