Patrick Edward Gammons

Patrick Edward Gammons, 73, of Huron, died Thursday, April 27, 2017 at Firelands Regional Medical Center Main Campus after a short illness. Patrick was born January 1, 1944 in Lorain and had been a Huron resident for the past 31 years moving from Vermilion. He graduated from Amherst High School and St. Mary College, San Antonio Texas. He received his law degree from Cleveland Marshall School of Law. Patrick practiced law for over 40 years, starting his career on the general counsel for Republic Steel, Cleveland and then opened his own private law practice in Lorain. He is survived by his son, Patrick V. (Christine) Gammons of Chicago; daughters, Teresa "Tisa" Gammons of Fremont, Eugenia "Nina" (Terrill) Thompson of Bellingham, WA and Sarah (Robert) Gammons-Reese of Ferndale, WA; 23 grandchildren; 2 great-grandchildren; and his brothers, Herbert F. Gammons of VA and James J. Gammons of FL. He was preceded in death by his parents, Herbert and Stella (nee Solack) Gammons, and his brother, Mark E. Gammons. The family will receive friends on Tuesday, May 2, 2017 from 5-8 pm at the Riddle Funeral Home, 5345 South Street, Vermilion, Ohio. Funeral services will be Wednesday, May 3, 2017 at 10:00 am at the funeral home. Father Ron Brickner will officiate. Interment will follow at Brownhelm Cemetery, Vermilion.
