Patsy Irene Buchanan

Patsy Irene Buchanan (nee Ford-Doak), 67, of Vermilion, died Wednesday, September 29, 2010 at Mill Manor Nursing Home after a 2 year illness. She was born October 10, 1942 in Hotsprings, AR and had been a Vermilion resident most of her life. She graduated from Bowling Green State University. Patsy worked as a medical records specialist at St. Joseph Hospital for many years and had also worked as a cashier for Drug Mart and Kroger's. She was a member of the First Assembly of God Church, Vermilion. She enjoyed reading horseback riding, dogs, flower gardening and traveling. Survivors include her husband of 46 years, Larry Buchanan; 2 sons, Bruce (Hyoncha) Buchanan, Wyoming, Michigan and Jeffrey Buchanan, Vermilion; grandchildren, Kevin and Christina; and 2 brothers, Carl (Linda) Doak of Vermilion and Jimmy (Yolanda) Doak of Newport News, Virginia. She was preceded in death by her father, William Ford; mother, Irene Ford- Gill-Doak; step father, James Doak and brother, Allan Doak. Friends may call Sunday, October 3, 2010 from 2 - 4 pm and 7-9 p.m. at the Riddle Funeral Home, 5345 South Street Vermilion Ohio. Funeral services will be Monday, October 4, 2010 at 11 a.m. at the funeral home. The Reverend Michael Lavelle will officiate. Interment will follow at Maple Grove Cemetery, Vermilion.
