Paul Bansek Sr., 58, of Berlin Heights, died Thursday, January 7, 2016 at his home after a sudden illness. He was born October 10, 1957 in Amherst, and had been a Berlin Heights resident for the past 13 years moving from Sheffield Twp.. Paul graduated from Clearview High School, Sheffield Twp and worked as a Parts Manager for several Ford dealerships, most recently Don Tester, Norwalk. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, working on cars, and spending time with his family. He was an avid Cleveland Browns fan. He had also volunteered for Sheffield Twp. as a firefighter and EMT. He is survived by his wife of 34 years, Cindy (nee Walthour) Bansek of Berlin Heights; sons, Paul A. Bansek, Jr. and Scott Ellis Bansek both of Berlin Heights; and brothers, Stanley Bansek of Amherst, Richard Bansek of Chatham, and Daniel Bansek of Royal Oak, MI. He was preceded in death by his parents Stanley and Constance (nee Field) Bansek and sister, Linda Simo. The family will receive friends on Monday, January 11 , 2016 from 10:00 am until the time of the service at 1:00 pm at the Riddle Funeral Home, 5345 South Street, Vermilion OH. Pastor Jim Cooper will officiate. Interment will follow at Peaks Cemetery, Berlin Township.
