Paul 'Bud' Knott

Paul "Bud" B. Knott Jr. 76, of Florence Twp., died Thursday, August 3, 2017 at Mercy New Life Hospice after a lengthy illness. He was born August 12, 1940 in Lorain and had been a life long Florence Twp. resident. Paul worked as a Mechanic and Service Manager for several different companies including Liberty Auto, Harrison Ford, and Sliman's Auto. He was a member of the Florence Twp. Fire Department for 47 years serving as Chief from 1990-1992. Bud enjoyed doing mechanical work, farming, camping, and he especially enjoyed spending time with his family. He is survived by his wife of 56 years, Shirley (Nee Ronez) Knott of Florence Twp.; son, Gary Knott of Vermilion; daughter, Robin Knott of Florence Twp.; grandchildren, Justin Peters, Jacob Peters, and Michael Knott Jr.; and his great granddaughter, Melanie Peters. He was preceded in death by his parents, Paul Sr. and Pauline (nee Gardner) Knott; his son, Michael Knott Sr; and his brother, Larry Knott. The family will receive friends on Sunday, Aug. 6, 2017 from 1:30 until the time of the funeral service at 3:30 at the Riddle Funeral Home, 5345 South Street, Vermilion, Ohio.
