Paul J. McGraw, 77, of Vermilion, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, June 19, 2024, at the Cleveland Clinic Foundation after a lengthy illness.
Born on February 2, 1947, in Richlands, VA, Paul had been a beloved resident of Vermilion for over 60 years.
Paul honorably served his country as a veteran of the United States Army during the Vietnam War. He went on to build a dedicated career at E & L Transport, where he worked diligently as a truck dispatcher until his retirement in 2016.
A proud member of Amvets Post 22. He was an golfer, a passionate fisherman, and enjoyed playing cards and watching sports. Above all, he cherished spending time with his friends and family.
Paul leaves behind his loving wife of 50 years, Shelley (nee O'Donnell) McGraw of Vermilion; his sons, John Robert "Rob" (Traci) McGraw of Amherst and Kevin (Jill) McGraw of Cincinnati; and his adored grandchildren, Kelsea, Kasey (Jacob), Kylee, Alyssa, Kayla, Jack, and Ashlin; great-grandson, Owen, and his sisters, Kippy (Bruce) Johnson, Bunny (Charles) Adkins, and Pamela (John Ray) Dabney.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Paul and Marcia (nee Curly) McGraw.
The family will receive friends on Friday, June 28, 2024, from 2:00 PM until the time of service at 4:00 PM at Riddle Funeral Home, 5345 South Street, Vermilion, Ohio. Pastor Jim Cooper will officiate. A private interment will be held at Maple Grove Cemetery in Vermilion.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions to the Wounded Warrior Project P. O. Box 758516, Topeka, KS 66675-8516.
