Pauline Holtcamp (nee Mey), 66, of Vermilion, died Thursday, May 31, 2012 at her home after a short illness with cancer. She was born November 16, 1945 in Vermilion, where she had been a life long resident. Pauline had worked at Burger Chef, Vermilion, the Vermilion Family YMCA, and most recently at Head Start, Oberlin as a pre-school teacher. She had been a member of Trinity Lutheran Church, Vermilion, and loved spending time with her grandchildren and other children. While working at Head Start she often bought clothing, hats, coats, and gloves for the children. She also enjoyed ceramics and going to garage sales. She is survived by her husband, Donald "Don" Holtcamp of Vermilion; son, Larry (Brigitte) Holtcamp of Vermilion; daughters, Natalie (Shawn) Steigner of Madison and Debbie (Derek) Broaddus of Amherst; grandchildren: Lanie, Jacob, Jonathan, Nathan, Abby, and Cameron; brothers, Robert Mey and Ernie Mey both of Vermilion; and sisters, Barb Smith and Alice Herman both of Vermilion. She was preceded in death by her parents, John and Martha (nee Kellet) Mey; sisters, Helen Newkirk and Emma Griggs; and brothers, Johnny, Wally, and Eddie Mey. The family will receive friends on Sunday, June 3, 2012 from 4-7 pm at the Riddle Funeral Home, 5345 South Street Vermilion Ohio. Funeral services will be Monday, June 4, 2012 at 11 am at the funeral home. Pastor Tim Holt will officiate. Interment will follow at Maple Grove Cemetery, Vermilion.
