Pauline Navalinsky (nee Bobick), 92, formerly of Vermilion, died Friday, January 27, 2017 at her son's home in Conyers, GA after a lengthy illness. She was born April 17, 1924 in Marysville, PA and had been a Vermilion resident for about 40 years before moving to Conyers, GA. Pauline worked as a "Rosie the Riveter" during WWII, a machinist at Thew Shovel, Lorain, and then became a Real Estate Agent retiring in 1963. She was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church, Vermilion, Wet Hens Sailing Club, Eight Ball Dance Club, and several golf leagues. She was very involved with evening and weekend sailing races, golfing, and was an avid dancer, especially enjoying Big Band music. Pauline's talents were also prevalent in her oil paintings which focused on Vermilion waterfront scenery. She is survived by her son, Brian (Jinny) Navalinsky of Conyers, GA, daughter, Jean McEnery of Ypsilanti, MI; granddaughters, Beth, Alison (Teddy Stroop), and Stephanie McEnery; and great grandsons, Nolan, Ryder, and Benton. She was preceded in death by her husband, Steve A. Navalinsky in 2002; son, Albert Steve Navalinsky; parents, Martin and Marcella (nee Jurek) Pogodzinski; beloved adoptive parents, Michael and Mary Bobick; brothers, Steve, Ed, Leo, and Walter; and 2 infant sisters. Private family burial took place in Calvary Cemetery, Lorain. The family suggests memorial contributions to Alzheimer's Association, Michigan Great Lakes Chapter, 564 S.
