Pearl M. Bialorucki-Palsa

Pearl M. Bialorucki-Palsa (nee Domanski), 90 of Lorain, died Sunday, November 11, 2007 in Anchor Lodge Nursing Home following a short illness. She was born in Lorain where she lived most of her life, with the exception of 20 years in Rocky River. She graduated from Lorain High School where she excelled and lettered in three sports. She played softball in Lorain and Lorain County for various teams and was on the championship team Goodall's in 1936-1937. She was among the first graduating class of the Lorain Practical Nursing School and had worked as an License Practical Nurse in surgery for the former Lorain St. Joseph Hospital, University Hospital, and Lorain Community Hospital until retiring in 1987. She was a member of Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary Catholic Church in Lorain and a member of the Knights of St. John drill team. She was an avid bowler and had once bowled a 600 game, a baseball and Cleveland Indians fan and enjoyed making Christmas crafts. She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, David and Jan Bialorucki of Lorain; granddaughters, Deborah Bialorucki of Lorain, Denise Bissett of Lorain and Dawn Judge of Auburn Twp.; 5 great-grandchildren. She was preceded-in-death by her 1st husband, Louis J. Bialorucki in 1962, 2nd husband, Frank Palsa in 1986, parents, John and Mary (nee Sweis) Domanski, sister, Florence Trebus and brothers, Ed, Frank, Art and Ray Domanski. Friends may call Tuesday, November 13, 2007 from 4-8 pm at the Dombrowski-Humphrey-Riddle Funeral Home, 1939 Oberlin Avenue, Lorain, Ohio. Closing prayers will be said on Wednesday at 9:30 am at the funeral home followed by a 10:00 am Mass of Christian Burial at Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary Catholic Church, 418 W. 15th Street, Lorain. The Reverend Robert J. Glepko, pastor, will be the celebrant. Interment will follow in Calvary Cemetery, Lorain.
