Peggy O'Bryon (née Hileman), 91, of Berlin Heights, passed away peacefully at her home on Tuesday, June 18, 2024, after a brief illness.
Born on April 21, 1933 in Terra Alta WV, Peggy spent her early years in West Virginia. She became a cherished resident of Berlin Heights for the past 53 years.
Peggy had a brief but meaningful career with the FBI before dedicating herself to being a homemaker, where she found her true calling in nurturing and caring for her family and being a Military wife.
She enjoyed playing BINGO, creating ceramics in her younger years, and spending winters in Florida with her husband.
She leaves behind a loving family, including her daughter Debra (Russell) Nottke of Berlin Heights; grandchildren, Lisa (Christopher) Warren, Jennifer (Garrett) Williston, Ashley (Frederick) Leber, and Gregory Nottke; and great-grandchildren Jacqueline, Hayden, Emmie, Mason, Ellie, Dylan, Jason, Austin, and Londyn. She also held a special place in her heart for her Persian cat, Carly.
Peggy was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 69 years, Melvin C. O'Bryon, in 2023; her sons, Michael Karl O'Bryon and Gregory Allen O'Bryon; her parents William L. and Mahila Marie (nee Plum) Hileman; and her siblings, Franklin Hileman, Mitch Hileman, Ann Sypolt, Betty Stroud (Peggy's twin sister), and William Hileman.
Friends are invited to pay their respects on Saturday, June 22, 2024 from 1:30 p.m. until 2:15 p.m at the Riddle Funeral Home, 5345 South Street, Vermilion, OH 44089. Graveside services will follow at 2:30 p.m. at Maple Grove Cemetery, Vermilion.
The family suggests memorial contributions be made to the American Cancer Society Ohio Division Inc., 10501 Euclid Avenue, Cleveland, OH 44106.
