Peggy L Shupe (nee Fletcher), 78, of Vermilion, died Saturday, October 26, 2024 at Mercy Regional Medical Center following a brief illness.

She was born September 15, 1946 in Sandusky, OH and had been a  cherished Vermilion resident for the past 60 years.

She had a nurturing spirit that guided her career as a Licensed Practical Nurse in home health care, where she was known for providing compassionate and dedicated care to those in need.

Peggy will be fondly remembered for her vibrant, fun-loving, and talkative personality. She enjoyed spending time at the beach, cheering for the Cleveland Browns, and treasured the special moments shared with her family. Peggy was a devoted mother, grandmother, sister, and partner who found joy in the company of her loved ones.

She is survived by her significant other, Tom Jones; sons, Richard Olney of TX, Timothy  (Jean) Olney of Amherst, and Dan (Christy) Shupe of Vermilion; step children, Dennis  (Diane) Shupe of Vermilion, and Sherri (Scott) Ebert of Sandusky; grandchildren, Stephanie, Nathaniel, Kylie, Shelby, Dylann, David and Sierra; several step grandchildren and many great grandchildren; and her sisters, Carol (Dick) Northeim and  Beverly (Ron) Eppler.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Ernest Shupe; daughter, Debbie Shupe; and step daughter, Tammy Shupe; father, Clyde Fletcher; mother, Katheryn Unger; and step father, Joseph Tomasek.

The family will receive friends on Friday, November 1, 2024 from 1:00 pm until the time of service at 3:00 pm at the Riddle Funeral Home, 5345 South Street, Vermilion, Ohio.

The family suggests memorial contributions to Safe Harbor Animal Rescue 15901 Darrow Road, Vermilion, OH 44089 .
