Queenie Manning

October 23, 1908 — July 10, 2003

Quennie Manning (nee Haddock), 94 of Vermilion, died Thursday, July 10, 2003 in Community Health Partners Hospital and Surgical Center, Lorain after a short illness. She was born October 23, 1908 in Pitt Co., NC, where she lived until moving, to Vermilion in 1955. Mrs. Manning attended the Vermilion Christian & Missionary Alliance Church. She enjoyed sewing, gardening and working with flowers and playing the piano. Survivors include2 daughters, Beatrice M. Hall of Vermilion, and Vera B. Martin of Clearwater, FL, 5 grandchildren, 5 great grandchildren, and 11 great great grandchildren. Preceding her in death were her husband Levi M. Manning in 1945; parents, James and Mary (nee Harrington) Haddock; brothers, Herman, Jessie, Leon, Elijah, Robert, and Johnny Haddock; and, sisters, Cora Lee Jones, Daisy Oakley and Olive Vera Mills. Friends may call Friday, July 11, 2003 from 7-9 pm at the Riddle Funeral Home, 5345 South Street, Vermilion, Ohio. Services will be held at the Riddle Funeral Home on Saturday July 12, 2003 at 10:30 am with Reverend John Nevius Officiating. Interment will follow in Maple Grove Cemetery, Vermilion, Ohio. Contributions may be made to the American Heart Association or charity of your choice.
