Ralph R. Bard

Ralph R. Bard, 90, formerly of Vermilion, died Thursday, October 16, 2014 at Autumn Aegis Nursing Home after a short illness. He was born February 26, 1924 in New Philadelphia, OH, and had been a Vermilion resident since 1946 moving to Huron in 2004. Ralph worked for Lithonia Down Lighting as a paint sprayer for 40 years retiring in 1989. He was a member of the Vermilion United Church of Christ Congregational. Ralph was also a member of the Masonic Ely Lodge Post # 424 Vermilion and the Eastern Stars. He is survived by his son, John "Jack" (JoAnn) Bard of Vermilion; daughter, Rebecca A. Endrai of Lorain; 4 grandsons; and 10 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Jayne Bard in 1996; parents, Calvin and Sadie (nee Lewis) Bard; and sisters, Martha Heid and Mary Krapp. Private services will be held.
