Randall 'Butch' Smith

Randall R. "Butch" Smith, 74, of Vermilion, died Wednesday, March 21, 2018 at University Hospitals of Cleveland after a short illness. He was born November 12, 1943 in Pulaski Co., KY and had been a Vermilion resident for the past 51 years moving from Kentucky. Butch worked for Ford Motor Co., Lorain for 35 years retiring in 2003 as a material handler. He was a member of the UAW #425 and enjoyed being outdoors doing yard work, going to car shows, and helping care for his wife, Joan and sister, Janice. He is survived by his sisters, Janice Mankin of Vermilion, Norma Brown of Lexington, KY, Patty Sheppard of Louisville, KY, and Brenda Smith of Versailles, KY and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his wife, Joan Marie (nee Boyd) Smith and his mother, Gladys (nee Carter) Smith. Services will be held at a later date with inurnment at Rugby Cemetery, Brownhelm Twp.
