Renee L. Garcia

Renee L. Garcia (nee Pilarsh), passed away at the age of 70 on Wednesday, November 1, 2023, at Kingston of Vermilion, following a prolonged illness.

She was born on June 17, 1953, in Fremont, OH, and had been a resident of Vermilion for the last 15 years, having previously lived in Lorain.

During her professional career, Renee devoted 17 years to Ford Motor Co., Avon, before retiring in 2006. Beyond her work, she found joy in various activities, including traveling to all of the major league baseball parks across the nation and spending winters in Florida alongside her companion, Jim. Additionally, she found delight in casino gambling trips, exploring flea markets, and partaking in lively games of BINGO. Notably, Renee was known for her exceptional culinary skills.

Left to cherish her memory are her loving companion, James "Jim" Cook of Vermilion; her daughter, Jessica Garcia of North Royalton; her brother, Leonard "Jock" (Judy) Pilarsh of Oberlin; her sister, Cindy (Joe) Meza of Lorain; and several nieces and nephews.

Renee was preceded in death by her husband, Jesse Garcia; her parents, Leonard and Lillian (nee Peck) Pilarsh; her daughter, Stephanie Garcia; as well as her sisters, Rita Major, Judy Pilarsh, and Sandy Morgan.
