Richard M Brixie , 54, of Vermilion, passed away Saturday, October 7, 2017 at Firelands Regional Medical Center Main Campus after a lengthy illness. Richard was born June 3, 1963 in Stuttgart, AR, and had lived in Vermilion most of his life Richard worked for a waste water plant in Corpus Christi, TX before retirement. He enjoyed hunting, shooting, reading, fishing, video games, and building computers. He is survived by wife, Karen Brixie (nee Gilbreath) of Vermilion; father, Steve (Tina) Brixie; brother, Steve (Penny) Brixie; sisters, Deb (Randy) Randolph and Angela (Sean) Crum; step-children, Emma and Alex Hillman; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his mother, Lelia Brixie (nee Garner) and nephew, Randy "RJ" Randolph. At the family's request, all services are private.
